Steps
Clean/Re-wrap
*Re-wrapping - Our divers cut and hand remove all of the old wrap, which we then dispose of. *Cleaning - Our divers hand scrape the pilings, top to bottom until the piling is bare, then give a final inspection.
Trenching/Sealant Layer
*Trenching - Divers trench one to two feet into the mudline to allow wrap to completely cover piling. *Sealant Layer - The Sealant Layer is meant to stop the shipworm, or any worm and kills within 24 hours. After trenching is done, divers start from the top of the piling, wrap all the way to the bottom, then wrap back upward- giving two layers of wrap.
High Density Wrap/Nailing
*High Density Wrap - Once piling has two layers of Sealant Wrap, divers put High Density Wrap over top to protect the Sealant Wrap and piling from barnacle damage. *Nailing - Divers use stainless steel nails and nail every two iches to prevent corrosion and barnacle tears.
6-Month cleaning
*We recommend a cleaning every six months to keep your piling wraps in top condition. We offer this service at a discounted rate. This helps maintain your 5-year warranty, so any covered damage will be repaired free of charge.
